Development Gap Assessment Process

Week 1

  • Evaluator assigned – IYSL introduces assigner to the club leader.
  • Onboarding call – preparation call with Club leader.
  • Online Survey completion - Leaders - Parts 1-3 (goal is 100% participation). Staff - Parts 1-2 (goal 50% of staff). Members - Part 1 (goal 5-10% of membership). 7 days to complete.

Week 2

  • ‘Awareness Gap’ Report – comparison of survey data shared with leadership.
  • Issues list– Evaluator facilitates a 90 minute video conference with leadership. Two goals – 1) Identify good and best practices and 2) establish to ‘Issues list’ (top priorities).
  • Document collection and review – collation of artefacts and evidence.
  • Consultant questionnaire – Evaluator submits key questions for the leadership team – 5 days to resubmit answers to evaluator.

Week 3

  • Key Themes – Evaluator presents a summary of themes for Leadership comment – response back to Evaluator in 5 days.

Week 4

  • Draft Report – Evaluator presents report for Leadership comment – response back to Evaluator in 5 days.

Week 5

  • Final Report – Evaluator presents final report and available for a video debrief.
  • Accountability Chart – Evaluator helps club establish an accountability chart.

3 months post visit

  • 90 Day Check In – progress review of accountability chart.

6 months post visit

  • 180 Day Check In – progress review of accountability chart.

9 months post visit

  • 270 Day Check In – progress review of accountability chart.

12 months post visit

  • 360 Day Check In – progress review of accountability chart.
